Ontario Canada based rapper Mosope ‘Spoken’ Adeyemi drops his single ‘Guns and Liquor’ and music video ‘Follo’ for the first time in Nigeria. Raised and residing in Canada, Spoken is back home briefly to plant his message on African soil. He is currently signed to the Canada based Role Model and is a popular hip-hop act in the Ontario region. The talented rapper uses his values as the theme behind his music, which has been described as inspirational and philosophical. Guns and Liquor uses provocative hip-hop lingo to capture attention on today’s decadent youth culture, while focusing on alternatives. ‘Follo’ makes a lyrically bold statement on choices.
The philosophical content of his rap has gotten him comparisons to the likes of Lupe Fiasco and Talib Kweli, owing to the thought provoking ideology in his songs, while still maintaining up-beat sounds with tight type rap flows laced on catchy hip-hop instrumentals.
After a media tour, Spoken will return to Nigeria in November for his final album release. Connect with Spoken on Twitter @spokenmc
